Introduced in South Korea in the first quarter of the year, and announced for other markets last month, the LG Optimus Vu is certainly not your everyday smartphone. That’s because its 5-inch, 4:3 ratio display makes it a bit uncomfortable to hold. Samsung’s first Android 4.1 Jelly Bean device, the Galaxy Note II, will be released in the US soon — at about the same time with LG’s new Optimus G. Samsung has confirmed that the Note II would be offered by five US mobile carriers, the same that started selling the Galaxy S III several months ago: AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, and US Cellular.

LG finally has a smartphone that can compete with Samsung’s Galaxy S III. It’s the LG Optimus G, initially announced at the end of August, and now ready to enthrall customers around the world. Samsung and Sprint have announced the launch of a new LTE-capable smartphone: the Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE. Presented as being powerful yet affordable, the Victory is no Galaxy S III, but at least it has some of its features, including Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, S Voice, and S Beam.
