The China Mobile-bound Samsung Galaxy S III that we’ve seen a few weeks ago will be officially released on June 6. This is what ePrice reports, also revealing that the smartphone’s model number is GT-i9308. Like most mid- or high-end handsets launched by China Mobile, the Galaxy S III i9308 will have TD-SCDMA connectivity. The rest of its features don’t differ from what we can find on the European i9300, including a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD screen, TouchWiz UI 4.0, Android Ice Cream Sandwich, 1.9 Megapixel front-facing camera, 8 Megapixel rear camera, 1GB of RAM, and Samsung’s 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos CPU. The Galaxy S III i9308 will “likely” cost ¥4,999 (around $786) when bought without a contract agreement.
China’s other two mobile operators — China Unicom and China Telecom — are also going to launch versions of the Galaxy S III, and it looks like they’ll do it a few days later than China Mobile.
